Connecting to DB2

Promethium integrates with DB2 to enable metadata discovery and distributed querying. Once connected, Promethium will crawl DB2 schemas, tables, and columns, and make them available for query and exploration. Data can also be materialized to DB2 if required.

This guide walks you through the steps to securely connect your DB2 account to Promethium using read-only access.

Prerequisites

To connect Snowflake to Promethium, you’ll need the following:

  • Host Name The hostname for your DB2 database. For example: db.company.com
  • DB Port Enter the port number that DB2 communicates on
  • User Name The username associated with your DB2 account
  • Password The password associated with your DB2 account
